There is something that draws the eye in a wood burning fire. Somehow our primeval instincts are satisfied by staring at a warming flame.

Unfortunately open fire tend to be inefficient in their use of fuel, so a better option would often be an enclosed stove. Often, to save space, it is better to insert a stove into an existing fireplace.

The DG fires Instyle 550EA is a slightly larger and squarer version of the 500EA but it as almost as efficient (81%). It certainly uses the same fuel-efficient combustion system and has an equally wide area of glass to enable the maximum fire watching.

A range of frames is available for this fire, all anthracite in colour, and an outside air source kit can be ordered too.*

Like me, you won’t find it hard to find an excuse to relax in front of this fire.
