Much of the cost of fitting a new fire is the installation cost: very often the fireplace needs to be remodelled and new flues put in place. The Stovax Stockton Milner however goes some way to help with that.
For safety and to comply with the regulations, you may still need a new flue but the Stockton Milner has been designed to fit the average 16-18″ wide and 20-22″ high fireplace with little adaption.
This fire still comes with Stovax’s efficient technology too, giving a peak efficiency (depending on the quality of fuel used) of an impressive 76% from a maximum heat output of 5kW.
Burning a range of solid fuels (including logs of up to 250mm), the Stockton Milner uses the Stovax Cleanburn system to pre-heat the air within the fire and burn any remaining hydrocarbons in the gases before they are exhausted. This makes the fire more efficient and environmentally sound. The same design directs warmed air across the inner surface of the glass to disperse and smuts or soot that would normally obscure the view of the flames.
This classically designed fire is made from rugged 5mm thick steel with doors and cast iron side panels and airtight door. Stovax are confident about the quality of their stoves and offer a good warranty (details of which can be seen on the Stovax site).
There is an optional Smoke Control Kit that can be purchased for this stove which allowing installation in smoke control areas. Please contact our showroom for pricing and availability.
